Here are some of the websites built by Balmain Website Designs recently.

Echo Stars – an Australian based charity helping some of the poorest children in the world

This was a pro-bono project. Each year, Balmain Website Designs (and Bold Type, our parent company) build a website free of charge for a worthy organisation. Echo Stars is certainly that. Money raised by this charitable organisation has built a school in Bangladesh giving many children an education which, until then, was beyond their wildest dreams. Please feel free to visit the website and donate to this worthy cause.

Linda Magson Counselling

This project involved moving a website from Joomla to a WordPress content management system, redesigning webpages while maintaining the original major design elements, adding a blog, adding social media and other features. The client loves the new website and the fact that she can manage her own website: adding valuable content to help her clients whenever she wants.

Captivations – custom sports apparel suppliers

The Captivations website is massive with over 300 product pages, four major product categories and 30 or so product gallery pages. Working out a logical structure for the different clients: sports clubs, schools, businesses and charities –  all regular and equally important clients – was a challenge. In the end, we decided on the four major categories and a left-hand sub-menu that would make it easy for clients to find what they want. The ‘Design Your Own Sportswear’ feature is something that many clients use. It’s actually another website which we embedded in Captivations and branded with the Captivations logo so that people using this feature don’t have any trouble finding other Captivations webpages when they have finished designing their own sports uniforms.

All Stone – suppliers of pavers, tiles and garden ornaments

All Stone is a business supplying stone pavers, tiles and garden ornaments in Sydney’s inner west. This website uses photographs well to show the finished result and the actual products. Links to other like products from every product page help web visitors to find their way around the website. And on every page, there is a call to action for web visitors to contact All Stone about their paving and other stoneware needs.

Cosway Australia – strategic communications

Cosway Australia wanted a complete website makeover so our team of designers and web developers worked with Cosway to create a website that would encapsulate the professionalism of their company and showcase their services and people. They love it. We love it. Have a look and see what you think.

Living Silk – fashion house

The Living Silk website development was a revamp of an existing static website to a dynamic system that the client can manage themselves. The website is run using Wordpress, open source CMS which was voted the number one system for dynamic websites in 2009. Every page is editable, for example, images of new outfits can be easily added with the click or two on the keyboard. The news pages allow Living Silk to keep their web visitors up to date with fashion news and the ‘email friends’ function allows visitors to send an image of any outfit to friends and families. This is particularly relevant when brides want their bridesmaids to see a particular gown. Go to the Living Silk website

The new website is clean, easy to navigate and allows Liza’s team to add new homes for sale, news features about the real estate industry and related content. Read Liza’s testimonial.
